The Bible – the Word of God

What kind of book is this that claims to be the word of God?
At least it becomes clear that it is no ordinary book, but a work of superlatives if you know a few facts about it.

  • it was not written by one, two or three authors but at least forty writers were involved
  • it was not written in a few weeks, months or years, but over a period of about one and a half millennia
  • no other book has had anywhere near as many translations, copies, prints and editions made
  • no other book from antiquity has a comparable amount of archaeological finds from such a wide area of distribution
  • but especially in one point there is absolutely nothing comparable!

Nothing that has proven its own credibility through thousands of prophecies that have already come true over the last 3,500 years and still does today.
Likewise, the remaining events that are still in the future will also be literally fulfilled.

The list of the uniqueness of the Bible could be continued almost endlessly, but first let’s take a look at the overview and content of this divine work.

The Bible consists of 66 individual books, 39 of which are found in the Old Testament and 27 in the New Testament.
A mouse click on each of the books opens it, and the respective table of contents can also be navigated with a click.
