About Lion of Judah
The name “Lion of Judah” is another title and one of the names of the risen and returning Jesus Christ.
In the last book of the Bible, Revelation, we read in chapter 5, verse 5:
… do not weep!
Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered, so that He may open the book and its seven seals.
We can best describe ourselves as a ministry of volunteers that spans Christian denominations, officially founded in June 2009.
Our members come from different continents and belong to a wide variety of Christian denominations — or to none at all.
What unites us all is our shared faith in the almighty triune God, the Creator of all things, His Son Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, and the Holy Spirit.
As described under Vision, there are 12 service areas in Lion of Judah which can be accessed via the menu at the top.
Together, we want to fulfill God’s mission for HIS children and, as it should be in a family, be there for one another and serve each other with our gifts. Our slogan, “HERE FOR YOU,” is not meant to be just lip service for us at Lion of Judah.
This God in whom we believe loves diversity!
HE has not created a single leaf exactly like another; indeed, every snowflake that has fallen since the creation of the world has been unique — how much more so then are we humans, for whom HE created this universe?
We believe that every person is loved and “planned” by God — and if we are all children of one Father, shouldn’t we also love our brothers and sisters —A LL people, of every social status, nationality, and skin color?
As Peter came to realize: “God does not show partiality” — which means HE loves the homeless person just as much as the statesman, the housewife just as much as the manager, and a punk no less than one of HIS priests.
What matters is who seeks HIM and His will, tries to act accordingly, and when they fail, repents — simply turns back.
As a biker might say: “The Lord doesn’t look at your patch — but into your heart!”
God’s Word tells us that together we are one body in Christ, a unity made up of many different organs and limbs with different functions — and yet one that is fully functional only when working together.
Similarly, each of us, as a unique individual, has our own strengths and weaknesses.
If each of us uses our strengths to support others’ weaknesses, then we will all be far better off, and our lives will become much more “worth living.”
Thus, our goal is to build bridges: bridges between young and old, bridges between the genders, bridges between people with the most diverse personal, ethical, and cultural backgrounds.
We want to support all people with the gifts — the “talents” — that God has given us — whether through fellowship, prayer, intercession, teaching, wellness tips… or simply through practical action.
If you’d like to learn more about how you, as a person, can build a very personal relationship with God, we invite you to keep “browsing” through our pages; you’ll find quite a bit here on this topic and also about Him in general.
If you have any questions or simply want to get to know one of us, please contact us — we look forward to hear from you!
We would like to outline a few of the goals and principles of our community – or family here, drawing on several Bible passages:.
John 14,6 – Jesus said to him, „I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.“
John 1:12 – as many as received him (Jesus), he gave them the right to become children of God, to those who believe in his name;
John 12, 25 – He who loves his life will lose it; And whoever hates his life in this world (willing to subordinate one’s will to the will of God), will be preserved to eternal life.
John 15,12 – This is my commandment, that you love one another, even as I have loved you.
John 13,35 – By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.
Romans 12,5 – …so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.
Galatians 6,2 – Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
John 3,16 – For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
John 1,10 – He was in the world, and the world was made through him, and the world didn’t recognize him.
John 1,3 – All things were made through him. Without him was not anything made that has been made.
Acts 10,34+35 – Peter opened his mouth and said, „Truly I perceive that God doesn’t show favoritism; but in every nation he who fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him. „
And yes, what we do—and what we increasingly want to experience—is to fulfill Christ’s final commission to his followers.
We read about this in the closing verses of the Gospel of Mark
Jesus had been crucified, had risen from the dead, and over the course of 40 days had repeatedly appeared in person in various places to many people, talking with them, eating with them, touching them… and before He left this earth for our time of grace, He addressed His final words to His disciples:
Mark 16,15 – – And Jesus said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation!
16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.
17 These signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues;
18 they will pick up snakes, and if they drink anything deadly, it will not harm them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.
19 After the Lord had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and sat at the right hand of God.
20 And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by the accompanying signs.
If you have given Jesus Christ control over your life, thereby becoming a child of God, and are now looking for a way to serve HIM—then, my sister/my brother, ask HIM if you too should become part of the Lion’s family, for His sheep hear His voice…
